Pre-holiday workload

The third week in November can be such a joy.

That’s sarcasm.

The fourth week in November is the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday and Friday (for many of us), which means the three days prior to that end up being slack-off days for so many people that even the ones who are perfectly happy to work those days have a hard time getting things done due to the slackers. Many people, in fact, actually take the whole week off, so if you have any business with them, it won’t get done in the fourth week of November.

In practical terms, all the work of the month of November needs to be done in the first three weeks of the month, i.e. four weeks of work done in three weeks, and most of that extra gets crammed into the third week.

However, I take some solace in the fact that next week will likely be a cakewalk. (And I hope I don’t have to eat my words four days from now.)

For the time being, it’s back to the grindstone. I, unlike some people, will at least be able to play catch up next Monday.
